Vilnius Catacombs

No one can truly tell how deep and how old catacombs of Vilnius are. Hiding-places of stories of death for some, treasury of hope for others, subterranean Vilnius testified battles for faith and life. There are underground passages to remember the kings and duches making tracks, old cellars to recall the nascency of pieces of art and probably buried treasures, silently waiting to be discovered.

During the excursion we will visit the catacombs of Vilnius Cathedral, where miraculous well of the Bonifratre monastery springs. While the guide nourishes our fantasy with mystery stories, we will have an opportunity to see the level of the pavement in 14th century Vilnius.
